Educators Hub

Find the help you and your staff and families need to feed and educate with confidence.

There are so many opportunities to support children’s food education in the early years learning environment, be it a childcare centre, a family daycare or a pre-school setting. And it’s up to us, educators, to spot those opportunities and make the most of them.

We have resources to help educators and other early childhood professionals to develop skills in order to support children on their food education journey. As well as their families.

Our content can be linked to the Australian Early Years Learning Framework and to many areas of the National Quality Framework. Check it out by clicking on the button below.

Information Sessions for Families

These are great opportunities for the families attending your service to engage with a feeding professional and have their questions answered.

Providing such opportunities to families has the potential to boost your centre’s Quality Improvement Plan, plus adding value to the service you already provide.

“Friendly and engaging, Fern shared practical knowledge and ideas that can support our journey with fussy eating, and reframing how we approach this with the children.”

- Amanda Lam, educational leader, Platypus Junction Langwarrin (VIC)

Workshops for Staff

Workshops for a closed group of your staff to skill up and gain confidence in handling challenging situations related to feeding children in their care.

These are great opportunities for CPD as well as boosting your service’s Quality Improvement Plan.

“Fern presented a face-to-face workshop with our centre cooks and educators from across our 11 centres. Everyone was engaged and intrigued with what Fern was discussing and the amount of knowledge she had around 'fussy' eating in ECEC. Our cooks and educators learnt a great amount of information and have already begun putting it into practice within their ECEC settings. Fern also gave real-life examples and perspectives which helped our staff be more relatable as we sometimes find ourselves in the same challenging situations. We are very thankful we had the opportunity to learn more from Fern and further develop on our own practices moving forward and would recommend Fern's workshop to everyone!”

- Danae MacIntyre, manager, Tillys Play and Development Centre (NSW)
